Expedition Labs is a senior engineering studio. We pair human judgment with AI tooling to chart frontend, backend, full-stack, and mobile — production-grade, in a fraction of the time.

what we build

Four disciplines, one summit.

AI is the fastest junior engineer you'll ever hire. It still needs someone senior reading the map — deciding what to build and where the route goes. That's us, across the whole stack.

frontendΔ LCP

Frontend

Interfaces that feel fast and considered. Design systems, complex state, and the last-10%-polish that AI drafts but rarely finishes on its own.

React · Next.js · Tailwind · Motion3.9s → 0.9s
backendΔ p99

Backend

APIs and data layers that hold up under real load. Typed contracts, migrations, and observability — with the boilerplate generated and the architecture decided by us.

Node · Python · Postgres · tRPC740ms → 90ms
full-stackΔ idea→prod

Full-stack

Idea to production, one accountable team. We move across the whole stack in a single loop, so features land end-to-end instead of stalling at a handoff.

Next.js · Prisma · Queues · AWS6 wks → 6 days
mobileΔ platforms

Mobile

Native-feeling apps for iOS and Android. We pick cross-platform where it pays and go native where it counts — and ship to both stores from one codebase.

Swift · Kotlin · React Native2 → 1 codebase

the route

AI writes fast. We decide what's right.

This is a real route, walked on every expedition. Order matters — each waypoint gates the next, which is exactly why the speed doesn't cost you quality.

  1. 01scout

    Scout the terrain

We read your codebase and your goal, then map the smallest route that gets you there. No greenfield rewrites sold as progress.

  2. 02chart

    Chart the route

AI drafts scaffolding, tests, and migrations at machine speed. A senior guide reviews every step before the party moves — the judgment stays human.

  3. 03test

    Test every hold

Types, tests, and load harnesses gate the ascent. If it can't be verified, it doesn't ship. AI writes the coverage; we decide where the bar sits.

  4. 04summit

    Reach the summit

Small, reviewable PRs land continuously behind flags. You watch it ship in days, not quarters — and you own the whole map.

objections, answered

The honest questions.

Is this just vibe-coding my product?

No. AI drafts, a senior engineer decides. Every line is reviewed, typed, and tested before it merges. Speed comes from removing the boilerplate, not the judgment.

Who owns the code and the IP?

You do — completely. We work in your repo or hand over a clean one with full history. No lock-in, no proprietary runtime, nothing you can't fork and walk away with.

How is AI actually used day to day?

For scaffolding, migrations, test coverage, refactors, and research — the high-volume, low-ambiguity work. Architecture, tradeoffs, and correctness stay with the engineer whose name is on the PR.

What if you introduce a subtle bug at that speed?

That's what the verify stage is for. Types and tests gate the merge, changes land in small reviewable diffs behind flags, and nothing reaches production unproven. Fast and reckless are not the same thing.

Can you work inside our existing stack and process?

Yes. We adapt to your repo, your CI, and your review conventions. The method is ours; the environment is yours.
